From September 2026, EdenServ will provide recycling, waste and environmental services across East Devon. We have been set up locally to do a straightforward job well: deliver safe, reliable services, make good use of public money and look after the places people call home.
Our connection to East Devon matters. We are accountable to the Council, our communities and the people who rely on our services every day. That means being open about our performance, listening carefully to feedback and taking responsibility for the service we provide.
We will look after our people, work safely and take our environmental responsibilities seriously. We will speak plainly, treat people with respect and expect everyone at EdenServ to take ownership of the part they play.
As a new company, we have an opportunity to build on what works, improve what does not and make sensible decisions that deliver lasting value. Our focus will be on providing good services consistently, improving over time and ensuring that the services we deliver remain affordable, sustainable and fit for the future.
We also have an experienced independent Board to provide challenge, oversight and support. Their role is to ask difficult questions, ensure good governance and help keep the company focused on delivering for East Devon.
I do not underestimate the responsibility that comes with building a new company and taking on services that matter to every household. We will not get everything right first time, but we will be honest, learn quickly and stay focused on doing the basics well.
I am proud to lead EdenServ at the start of this journey. My ambition is simple: to build a dependable local company, a great place to work and an organisation that East Devon can rely on for years to come. By doing that well, we can create opportunities to grow, invest and deliver even greater value in the future.
